My Review:
The apocalypse has come but
Christians have not yet been taken up to heaven. This is a unique look at an
end-of-the-world scenario that involves zombies in a way that I could possibly
accept as an explanation for the existence of zombies.
Survivor is book 2 in the Sanctuary End-Times series and as
such, I would recommend reading the books in order to get the most enjoyment out
and understanding out of this volume.
Rory, Tion and Jose are the three
main characters in Survivor. They live in an apartment building with
several other survivors of the apocalypse - the alien invasion and the sickness
that causes a horrible zombie-like behaviour, but does not kill its victim.
With food and especially water
growing scarce, decisions have to be made about what to do. The alien Shisa
will attack, and zombies, though slow also attempt to bite and spread the
disease.
With one of the adults trying to run
things his way, and not necessarily in a way to the benefit of the majority,
things become very challenging. Many twists and turns bring danger and
unexpected results along the way.
Growth can be seen in the characters
of each of the three boys as they face the dangers before them and as they work
together for solutions to their situations.
I enjoyed this novelette very much
and was disappointed when it ended because I wanted more. I will be waiting on
pins and needles for the next episode of this series.
I gave Survivor 4 stars out of
5.
Thank you to the author for providing
a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. A positive
opinion was not required. All thoughts are my own.

Pauline Creeden is a horse trainer from Virginia, but writing is her therapy. In her fiction, she creates worlds that are both familiar and strange, often pulling the veil between dimensions. She becomes the main character in each of her stories, and because she has ADD, she will get bored if she pretends to be one person for too long.
