Feature and Follow #5

Welcome to the Feature & Follow

Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers -- but you have to know -- the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools -- keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to Wordpress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don't have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.

Q: It is up to you to do a Kickstarter campaign for your favorite book!!! Who are you casting for the main characters?

I think the book I would choose is one I have just recently read, as I was reading it I thought it would make a good movie because there was a lot of action in it. The book - Stranded by Dani Pettrey. But who would I cast for the main characters? I'm really not very up on actors and actresses since I'd rather read than watch TV, so I'd have to leave that up to someone else.

Next Week's Question:

What were some of your favorite picture books as a kid? If you have kids, what are your favorites to read to them?

  2. It's about Darcy who has been called on by her friend Abby to help her with an undercover investigation on the Alaskan cruiseship Bering. Abby disappears and Darcy, along with the McKenna clan are left to investigate.

  3. It is hard to cast for books. I mean.. an actor/actress can make a movie terrible or great!

  4. Thanks for stopping by my FF! I'm following you back via Bloglovin'. I have a hard time thinking of actors to play roles too - it's hard when you just want to spend time with your nose in a book!

    1. I'd rather read a book too. I find that in the movies, the way they make the character look doesn't jive with what I imagine when I read the book. Sometimes better, but usually disappointing.

  6. Choosing actors is really hard. I agree. Usually, they never live up to my expectations.

  8. Haven't heard of this book. I'll check it out.

I also prefer reading to watching TV but I still manage to squeeze in some of my favorite shows.

    Have a good weekend.

  11. It is hard to cast for books. We have this exact pic in our mind of how we expect them to look, but if there's the tiniest thing wrong it'll be "bad."

Thanks for stopping by Take Me Away...
