My Thoughts:
The only thing Tyler
Hayes wanted from his estranged grandfather’s estate was the mansion he should
have grown up in.
Kate Mitchell wanted
nothing from the estate of the old man she befriended in her father’s senior’s
home, but she received his mansion.
Kate had heard all
about the accident and what it had done to the Hayes family, but Tony had never
returned home so he had never met Kate. The only way to return the mansion to
Tyler was going to take a little ingenuity and a lot of perseverance.
Moving On was a very unique romance novel. I really enjoyed the premise of the
story. I don’t know that I would have had the courage to do what Kate did no matter how much I wanted to give the mansion to Tyler.
I enjoyed the pace
of the novel. It was set at a speed that made for a very pleasant speed. While Kate was helping Tyler resolve his issues with regard
to his resentment to his grandfather, unresolved issues from her past raised
their heads to threaten her too. I think the author did a remarkable job of
showing that issues of the past can be overcome and an individual can forgive
and move on. These twists and turns in the plot made the story quite
interesting and added some elements of suspense.
One thing that
confused me however was that the William Haye’s will stated that there were to
be guests had to be gone by 8 p.m. However it seemed that Tyler’s friends
practically lived there with him.
I particularly
enjoyed seeing the changes to Tyler’s personality as he grew and changed
through the book. I thought the characters seemed realistic. Their
conversations sounded just like people in their twenties.
Most of the
characters in the book were fairly personable except for Joanna who seemed
somewhat delusional. I admired Kate and Evelyn who were willing to try to help
her.
If you enjoy clean
romance and suspense novels, I would recommend Moving On to you. I rated it 5 stars out of 5.
Thank
you to the author for providing a copy of the book in exchange for a fair and
honest review. A positive opinion is not required. All thought are my own.
