 My Thoughts:

Princess Nevaeh is a sweet book where Neveah approaches her Mimi or grandmother to find out how to become a princess. Mimi teaches her that it is how she behaves that sets her apart as a princess. It is what is inside her – her behaviour towards others, her obedience to those in authority, her kindness and ability to love everyone. In fact, her grandmother tells her, she has always been a princess.

Mimi freely admitted that she didn’t always do what she was told when she was told to do it. She worried that this made her a bad princess. Mimi assured her that this just meant she had to work at it any try again next time. The point was that a person didn’t have to be perfect, but always seeking to improve.

The pictures were colourful with the theme of pink, most suitable for princesses. I noticed a strange anomaly with the picture of Nevaeh sitting on Mimi’s lap. Nevaeh looked like she was simply cut in half with her lower portion missing and only one of her feet showing, but it was pointed in the opposite direction of her body. That’s probably not something a child would notice, but I did pick up on it.

The pages were done in a manner that made for easy reading on a Kindle or computer where the writing was on one page and the picture was on the next page. One page at a time shows on the screen.

This book would be most suitable for all those little girls who want to be princesses. Though the lessons are just as suitable for boys, the theme of princesses would likely not engage them. I gave this book 5 stars out of 5.

Thank you to the publishers who provided a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. A positive opinion was not required. All thoughts are my own.
