Our Thoughts:

Favorite Raw Food Recipes is a small cookbook containing only 5 recipes. These recipes seem to be very healthy and nutritious. Of course, the real test is in the tasting. I believe that you cannot review a cookbook without trying some of the recipes. My daughter and I reviewed the book together. So, after some taste testing, (we did not test them all, but the ones we did test were very tasty) we can assure you of the following:

Pictures:
The pictures in the book are coloured photographs and clip art. There are no photographs of the actual finished product. The pictures that are included appeared to simply be photos from the internet of one of the ingredients from each recipe (with the exception of the truffles which was a photograph of truffles, but obviously not the truffles in the Favorite Raw Food Recipe Book as the directions said to sprinkle the truffles outer coating and those in the photo were rolled in it).

Recipes:
The simplest recipes were totally straightforward, simple and easy to follow. However, the more complex the instructions, the more issues we had with them. We found in some of the recipes that some ingredients were not mentioned in the ingredient list but were mentioned in the instructions, but without the amount required. Other ingredients were listed, but you were not told what to do with them. This would not be helpful for the new cook. The experienced cook would be able to handle this issue.

Our Overall Impression:
Favorite Raw Food Recipes has some simple, tasty recipes. But beware, for some of them are poorly written. For those who are looking for good value for their money, purchase this book knowing that there are only 5 recipes.

We gave this cookbook a rating of 2 out of 5 stars.

Thank you to the author for providing a copy of the book in exchange for a fair and honest review. A positive opinion was not required. All thoughts are our own.
